So I'd like to introduce you
Into my lifestyle of what and how I spew
You need to understand me
To start, if you are even reading
I take full appreciation of your attention
So allow me to begin the introduction
My name is unknown for now
But my words should speak loud
They should tell everything
That I kept under my wing
I grew up in a broken home
My problems rush me, like a funnel cone
And sometimes I think people don't care
Where I came from or what I wear
I try really hard to right my wrongs
Am I the only one?
Or am I alone when I write these songs
I don't know anymore
Its like I am lost in time
I tried to explore
Now all I do is write rhymes
This isn't just a personal ramble
I intend on picking up my shambles
Putting them together, so I can help
Not only me, but also yourself
I have a few things I wouldn't mind
To share with you or the rest of mankind
You might not think I can help you
But I can try to
Teach you
How to spew
As well as I do
And I admit

What does it mean to be broken? (I wrote this poem myself) ______________________________ Why be sad? When no one knows how bad You feel your Pain makes you sore. Why be mad? When no one can tell How hard you fell How it hurts MORE than a tad. Why be happy? Be like all those sappy People pretending to be What they want you to see. Why be frightened? Senses heightened Screaming, As sick people are beaming. Why be tired? When no one knows How your wired How you grow. Why be honest? When all known is a broken promise When no one believes you Even if what you say is true. Why hurt? When no one feels your pain When no one's ever alert When you never feel sane. Why pretend? When you know in the end No one will be there Because no one cares. Why care? When no one cares enough for you To know what your going through They think your heart is unfair. Why try? When no one sees that you do They just pry Thinking they know more than you. Why speak? When no one will ever hear They'll say you're a freak They don't see a single tear. Why do anything at all? They say what's in the past keep it in the past but I wanted to know all about my past. It was things that I didn't know and that I wanted and needed to know! But my life turned upside down when my past is exactly what I should have left alone. Now if you ask me how it all began, I don't exactly remember but I know it started when I moved in with my grandma who I haven't met in all my twenty years of living. I have been in and out of foster homes since I can remember, living with families I knew nothing about. Being the outcast and them constantly asking me what's wrong because I simply did not speak. The only thing that kept me sane was my good grades throughout school. I got the satisfaction of doing the one thing that people kept telling me over and over I couldn't do. I stayed to myself and graduated high school with honors, getting a full-ride scholarship to any college of my choice. Of course, by having this accomplishment, it didn't make it any easier for me between my foster families. To them, I became the girl who was better than them. But I didn't care because when I turned twenty I finally got to start making my own choices. This is where I wonder if the first choice I made was the right one. The first choice I made was to go live off-campus with my grandmother during my first semester in college. I ask myself how could I be so stupid? But you will see just how stupid I was. Or was I?
