Right before jumping into Tartarus, Percy and Annabeth made an unconscious promise to each other - staying together, no matter what. After Tartarus, they cling to each other, needing the other half more than ever, as they deal with the trauma of their experiences. Percy loses control over his powers when he gets a panic attack and damages camp greatly as Annabeth wasn't there to calm him down - on orders of Athena. He is frowned upon and shunned by the campers until he is forced to flee. Annabeth goes with him against his wishes and they are taken under the wing of two unlikely goddesses. As a new threat arises, will they decide to help the ones they once called friends?
