War has settled over a kingdom that is use to peace. When the citizens of the usually quite town all get sent a letter asking for people 16 and older to fight for the freedom of their kingdom they don't hesitate to enlist everyone above the age of 15. But when a family of 7 get this letter they enlist all of their kids not paying mind to the newly 14 year old boy that they have also sent to fight or maybe they just didn't care.

When you turn ten, you're sent to a finishing 'school'. Funny story no one seems to remember what the school was like. In truth it's a factory of enslaved children. Forced and driven to work like an adult. treated worse than an adult to 'train' them. At eighteen they are given the option to stay or leave. If you leave, they wipe your memory of it. Ranboo is a nineteen year old merman. There's not much to his life, other than the fact that he's a merman. You may think it would be fun to be a merman or mermaid or merperson or whatever, but it's actually pretty boring. There's nothing to do besides swimming, swimming, and swimming some more. Ranboo's father is the king/god of the ocean. Now, that's pretty cool, right? Wrong! His father doesn't let him do anything. He has to stay at the castle all day and night doing jack shit. One day, when Ranboo sneaks out to go to the peer, he spots a boy, maybe just a year or two younger than him, in an unsafe ordeal. Ranboo's quick thinking saves the boy, and then Ranboo's life starts to change. There will be arguing, abuse, swearing, slurs (they are censored) and panic attacks/anxiety. I'll put TW's at the top of each chapter if they include it. Tubbo and Tommy are found in a box on the side of the street, Techno finds them and takes them both to his home where he, his brother, Wilbur, and his father, Philza, live. In the ""wise"" words of c!Ranboo, "choose people not sides." Sometimes, though, you have to choose a side. Tommy's lived in the same town forever, his two older brothers taking care of him and all the other crimes in the city as the top heroes after the death of their parents. From running around town with Tubbo (and maybe Ranboo sometimes) to skipping school (also with Tubbo), Tommy could probably take on the world as long as he had his best friend beside him. However, when you're assigned a side from birth, it's hard not to have enemies...... ~ ~ ~ Mostly Tommy's perspective, some angst so TWs will be listed at the beginning of those chapters.
