You could say Will Solace was happy.

You would be wrong.

Will Solace was over the moon, the sun, the entire universe, in fact; and there was one reason behind it all. The reason was a simple boy, to the over-looking man; but Will Solace was absolutely mad for this one boy.

After months of some serious crushing, he had finally worked up to courage (one could also say that he had grown impatient and desperate) and told the target of his affections how he felt.

He had finally confessed to Nico di Angelo.

Will fondly looked back at how Nico's face had glowed red and how he had stuttered out a reply, growing more flustered by the second. The night was indeed a happy one, and Will would surely cherish it for a long, long while.
