The Burning Crown

Being the only heiress of the kingdom of Perlona makes Adiana's life even harder for her. She is expected, vastly, to be the next ruler; a queen that is both feared and looked up by the people of Perlona.

However, she isn't the perfect princess everyone assumes her to be. She isn't the princess with a brave and stone-cold heart like everyone thinks her to be, or someone with a deep-rooting determination to get to the throne and have the crown like everybody else.

In fact, she is far from that.

She's had enough of people wanting the power that the crown brings, of everyone trying to act like they sincerely want to befriend her, like they sincerely love her for being her. They never do. They only professed to love her because she's the closest thing to the crown; because it's an opportunity to get to its power.

All Adiana wanted in her nineteen years of being someone who had been pushed by high expectations with, in such a young age, was to feel the warmth of genuine care any parent would give their child. She only want for her parents to look her in the eye and tell her sincerely, how much they truly and deeply love their daughter.

All she ever wanted was for someone- anyone really, to show her that she is worthy of love.

But as the coronation for a new ruler is nearing its day, Adiana soon discovers the heinous truth of the crown, and becomes aware of the responsibility to start claiming what rightfully belongs to her.
