When Stormcutter brought him to the place where the king is the king saved Hiccup's life and gave him dragon's powers like dragon's eye strength, and the king can control him because the powers he gave him were just like all dragons. But he won't have wings or dragon's tails, but he will learn how to speak with dragons and he'll forget how to speak English. This book will have grammar errors. But when he couldn't kill the dragon he took the other option... and trained it. him and toothless were the best of friends but one day when he is chosen to kill the monstrous night mare in dragon training , he can't handle it so he runs away on the back of toothless, but only for the two to be snatched up by dragons. but 5 years later when hiccup returns to Berk, he is not the hiccup they all once knew.
