Some people may look at the situation and decide that her life was saved. She views it differently. Sure the entirety of the human race was bound to end at some point, but that's her thought. Better to let life run its course. Who decided they had the right to decide to speed up the process, or prolong it? Of course they didn't know why they were getting dragged out of their classrooms on that Spring day. No one really knew why. But Kaiya did know one thing, her dreams of getting away from that small town were being fulfilled.
