"What if I cannot find you?"
"I will still be here,"
"And what if I finally find you?"
"Then you'll lose me, Grant."

- A teenage boy, Grant Deighton, wants to have ordinary eyes, instead of eyes that can see 'them'.

Grant doesn't need 'them', that is what he always thinks. However, whether this will be a bad thing or not, he found a friend from among 'them'.

Grant was just waiting for something or even a demand from his 'friend'.
Whether he considered his 'friend' to be valuable person or not, he also hoped that there were no demands from his 'friend'.
