Erin White is a 17-year-old white wolf living in the year 2051. For as long as he has known, anthro's and humans have been segregated with humans being at the top of command. Life for him and his family is challenging in Apartment Complex 10, District 8, with poverty rates at nearly 100 percent, and almost all hope being lost. 

Things suddenly take a turn for the worst though when Erin is taken by the government along with many other anthros and forced to train for and fight in a war taking place in the year 2255. With his family at risk if he doesn't comply, he is sent to the future. Michael also known as "Wolf" (because of a patch he wears on his kit and helmet) is a member of what was the 75th Ranger Regiment. He finds himself a veteran of a war between humanity and anthros. While he doesn't exactly hate them he doesn't exactly trust them either despite their efforts to rebuild the relationship between species. Unfortunately a good chunk of humanity and anthro kind was wiped out due to the war. But due to the anthros ability to reproduce faster they were able to recover much faster leaving humanity at a loss. Michael finds himself alone and on the run from a one of the most dangerous anthro militaries (at least to humans), known as the Obsidian Front. They continue to hunt down and kill humans forces despite the end to the war, causing proxy wars and often large scale skirmishes between them and remaining human militias.
