Following the death of his grandmother, Saul is puzzled at the remains of her garden, now rotting after bearing a terrible disease. What remained, however, were her roses, now surrounding the perimeter of the garden, decollating any animal who dares to attempt to cross it, and injuring anyone desperate enough to make the same mistake.
Years later, the disappearance of a child forces Saul to make the same attempt to access his grandmother's garden. His gut feeling, however, tells him that whatever is beyond the rose-bearing vines is dying to come out, and it might not be in his best interest to let it do so.
