Every 4 years, Tenebris visits the city of Aurora, shrouding it in total darkness, and every living being slips into psychological death as if infected by a virus of the consciousness. This death lasts for a period of 4 days, during which anarchy and societal collapse occur and pandemonium raids the city. People act under the will of Tenebris instead of their own – the streets are rife with massacres, rape, destruction, an uncontrollable unleash of mankind’s most primal desires. This is a tragic downfall of Aurora, which is normally peaceful and filled with kindness, righteousness, and love. When the clock strikes 12 on the 4th day, a vocalized tune resonates throughout the city and the citizens wake. The city then undergoes reconstruction and mourning, a process that takes about a year. Then three years later, Tenebris revisits.

"Some women are lost in fire..." "No, some women are built from it." Aurora Steele did not have the best life. But no one could really have a good life on the Ark. When Aurora was younger, her mother always told her that the only thing that mattered was behaving. Listening. Aurora took her words to heart on the day of her tenth birthday. That day marked the rest of her life. That day seemed to be the beginning to the end, something Aurora wished she had known. Looking back on that day now, it became clear that the events of that day were her downfall. All the pain she had suffered, all the lies that emerged. Aurora thought she had the perfect family. She was wrong. Her family wasn't perfect. They were covered in lies, lies that broke apart the reality Aurora once knew. Everything was a lie and that day left her with more questions than answers. That day shattered her life. On Aurora's fifteenth birthday she had snapped. She didn't know why she did what she did, hell, she wasn't even sure if she regretted it. She was just glad to be away from it all, no matter how much it hurt her in the process. Aurora was arrested. Just like her mother. But she wasn't executed. She was sent to earth. I do not own the story line or the characters from the 100. I only own my own characters and plots, Aurora Steele, James Steele and Dexter Steele.
