A beautiful mare. A brother-sister twin duo. Both trying to find a place in the world. Finally coming to a shelter as a rescue with hardly any papers to prove her existence and a bitter attitude towards mankind, it seems she will be stuck there forever. | A pair of twins, having almost been sent to a foster home, can't trust the people they are closest to. He with the scars to prove it, and she with the memories she could never outrun. Working for their lessons at a local shelter, they quickly come across a stunning horse soon to be known as "That Mare." A screaming, flailing, kicking, fighting, bundle of fury, she is practically unapproachable. Yet they are drawn to her, the known bits of her story. They understand her anger, her hurt, her pain. Soon the two are doing everything they can to be as close to her as possible. First wary of each other, soon their curiosity of each other's story grow a friendship between them. Their shrewd outlook on life and suspicion of others bonds them. Their trust in their group only grows. The twins are the only ones who can risk touching the pure-bred Arabian of fire, wind, and sun.
