Romance
At 14 years old, Roxanne Santiago doesn't exactly love her life. She lives in Morning Oak, a town in Maryland no one has ever heard of. Her parents' destructive marriage is on the brink of collapse. And she's falling for her charming, rebellious, and unattainable best friend. Also, it doesn't help that she weighs 215lbs and her classmates have condemned her as "Fat Girl". At 25 years old, Roxanne Santiago couldn't imagine a better life. She lives in LA, a city known for making dreams come true. She is a fashion designer at an up and coming fashion company. And she has finally received the opportunity of a lifetime. And if you needed to know, she weighs 120lbs and loves her body as much as she loves her life. On the outside, it seems a million years and a million things separate Roxanne from who she was at 14 and who she is at 25. Yet all of that is threatened when she is forced to return home after 7 years. Once home she is confronted by the ghosts she's been running from and the people she turned her back on.

Scholar

[COMPLETED] [Warning: Strong language used throughout the book.] He put his hand over my notebook and the other over mine. I glared up at him, his golden brown eyes catching my attention. "I can't write like this," I pointed out. "Is this all you care about?" Ryan asked. I shrugged. "Not this specifically, but yeah, I care about my grades." Ryan smirked. I swallowed nervously but refused to break my stoic expression. He leaned closer to me, my heart pounding so hard against my chest it felt like it might break out and fall on the table between us. His mouth was right by my ear, and I could feel his warm breath when he spoke which sent shivers down my spine. "Well, aren't you a little a scholar?" *** The only things Alex Moris ever cared about were his grades and his sister. However, when the boy his sister likes, Ryan Smithe, makes things complicated and causes him to feel things he's never felt before, Alex realizes that, maybe, there's more important things in life than grades and scholarships.
