Uchiha Sasuke returned to Konoha and was now atoning for his crimes. The Akatsuki was defeated. Only recently has a team of ANBU successfully killed Orochimaru, freeing many subjected to his experiments. All was finally peaceful. Friends reunited and laughed, life went on happily. Except for Haruno Sakura. Sakura was part of the ANBU team responsible for killing Orochimaru. She was the one who tugged his hair, exposed his neck, and slit his throat. Everything went according to plan. But Orochimaru tested one last serum before he died. And he tested it on the pink haired kunoichi's destructive hands. (The Fourth Shinobi War never occurs.)
