It is the buffer between the four forms of bending, the powerfull nothing, the dark that comes with the light. Since Harmonic Convergence in 9,829 BG, when the dark spirit Vaatu got locked away and Raava merged with the avatar, the system started to slowly fall apart. This unbalance created the shadowbenders! This is the story of the first shadowbender that lives during the time of the Avatar Aang.
Kida, a sixteen year old girl living in the wilderness of the Earth kingdom with her Amarokwolf Onai but with no identity. Unaware of her power and her importance in history she hides in the shadows but soon in times of war she will discover her nature and where her loyalties are. Without a master to teach her, she has to figure out this dangerous gift on her own, trying to survive what the universe throws at her.
