About to start her Sophomore year at Beacon Hills High, Annalise Griffin was nervous. She had just moved from Outerbanks, North Carolina, and was still getting adjusted to her new home. The school year looked promising with a fun girls lacrosse team for her to join. However, things start going wrong when her car wouldn't start and she had to get a ride from her new neighbor she hadn't seen in 10 years, Stiles Stilinski.
Of course, on the ride home, Stiles and Anna hear on the police scanner that police are out looking for half of a dead body. Not wanting to waste a minute, Stiles drags Anna out to search the woods with him and his best friend, Scott McCall.
These night's events set off a whirlwind story enveloping Anna in Stiles' and Scott's crazy antics. The thing is, Anna is unknowingly the only one who can help the boys work their way through the supernatural world. To fight their way through the chaos can Anna and Stiles learn to work together to save Scott, or will the dramas of high school romance make things too complicated?
