Evelyn already lost her mother; how could it get any worse? At least that's what she thought. She's forced to move in with her estranged father where she also meets her stepmother and stepbrother. Evelyn knew what she needed to do, and that's getting a job and returning home. When she can't find a job, her stepbrother, Dimitri, offers her one. Innocent enough, right? Little does she know; she's thrown headfirst into the mafia world. Her feelings for Dimitri grows as she's forced to live with him, but her boyfriend, Mark, is someone her mother would be proud to see her with. Will her dreams change? Will she change?

"Wha- what do you mean?" I mentally kick myself for allowing his power to rule me.

He leans forward towards my face, his nose barely touching mine.

"What is it that you want, piccola." He whispers.

What did I want? Oh! That's right, I wanted to leave.

"I would like to leave." I take a step back from him so I can focus.
