17-year-old Mare is a local village thief, and although her skill is above the rest of her occupation, she is forced to carry an equal average loot of everyone else. Until one day her master- a vile, cruel, abusive man- gives her a task like never before. The target? The Queen's amulet.
She succeeds of course but on her way for reward she spots an even bigger opportunity. And she takes it- and the Queen's crown.
But things take a turn for the worst when someone she loves turns her in.
Hurt and betrayed, Mare is brought before the king. She braces herself for the death penalty, but is suprised when she is struck with mercy of the Queen, the very victim of her crime. Instead of death, Mare is sentenced to be the personal servant of Loki, the mysterious prince whom no one has seen in or outside of the castle in 15 years. And as the whispers about him spiral around her, the more her curiosity about him grows. Then, one night, after a moment of right-place-wrong-time (mainly consisting of a fit of rage and a very lucky dagger throw), she crosses his path and the two grow to be close friends.
After that night, Mare learns things from Loki she never would've imagined. From daggers to magic- but most importantly the truth about her parents, the monster sitting on Vanaheim's throne......
And her claim to it.

Earth. Shelby sits in her car, cigarette smoldering between her fingers, dreading the soul-sucking shift ahead. She exhales, watching the smoke coil toward the sky. A black cloud looms overhead. Figures. "Literally always over my damn head," she mutters. Flicking the cigarette butt, she presses the lock on her fob and starts across the parking lot. Blue light flares behind her. She doesn't look. Probably those new headlights-too bright, too fake, too much. Then-hoofbeats. Her blood chills. Her steps falter. Slowly, she turns. A man on a towering elk is closing in. Silver hair, flowing like spun moonlight. A crown of twisted branches. Eyes cold and knowing. "No way." "Give me your hand, woman!" His voice-deep, commanding, velvet-edged steel. He even sounds like that actor! Her brain stutters. "No. Fucking. Way." Then- "HELP! Somebody help me!" He sighs. Annoyed. Then moves-fast. The elk surges forward. She barely has time to flinch before strong hands seize her, hauling her up like she weighs nothing. She fights-kicking, clawing, cursing-but his grip is iron. "Calm yourself, little dove," he murmurs, unbothered, turning the elk sharply. The swirling blue void swallows them whole. Love Affair That Lasts Forever - Book 1 of 3 (Loki and Kate series)
When Loki meets the love of life, he begins to understand love isn't a weak emotion after all and that he is not unworthy of it. It consumes every fiber of his being the day he spots Kate McKenzie at a local street market in downtown Greenwich. Kate had met her fair share of suitors, but none that made it hard to breath, the way he did the first time she met him. This is a love story. Not an MCU story, but what life on Midgard could truly be like for Loki. For him to know that he is worthy of being loved, completely. *This is my first story. I promise there will be fluff, but not a tacky, gross stuff. My characters are not the trashy sort. So this won't be full of Smut. Rivers and Roads - Loki x Reader
Complete! Loki had been alone for so long that he'd almost lost track of the years. Yet he couldn't. He wished he could let go, let time pass him by as he waited out his sentence. He longed for the numb and empty feeling he used to have before he had met you. Anything was better than the gaping hole you'd ripped open in his heart when you had left. When you wake up on an alien planet with a man you don't know, you think that's about as crazy as your life is going to get. But when you start having visions of Loki that you don't remember, things get more complicated than you ever could have imagined. Lots of fluff, pining and angst with a happy ending 😊 Smut is skippable/clearly marked if you don't want to read it!Complete
