It was the first day of high school, and you could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
"I'm free!" You shouted in your head. You had escaped, to avoid being crushed by your parents' expectations.

Maybe that attitude of yours, so reserved, was the reason you were sorted in Class C - you weren't that self-centered to believe that academics alone was that made a student superior.
Though that introverted behiavior came from the psychological abuse you were subjected to by perfectionist parents, you could turn over a new leaf and - just as a distant possibility - found your special someone.
A cerulean - haired girl stood up, clicking her tongue in annoyance.
"Ibuki Mio." She said, and the world faded, even the leader's haughty and strange laughter was insignificant.

"Huh? What are you staring at?"

The moment was broken. Then, you began to notice as well - how she defended you from Manabe's gang that bullied you for being a nerd and antisocial 'loser'.

"You think you're strong? Bring it with someone your size, bitches!"

Though it hurt your dignity to be defended by a girl, you liked that feeling. You cherished it, and you finally had the chance to repay her when Ryuen organized a study group for the midterms. She was a lone wolf, and nobody wanted to help her. You raised your hand, and that's when your highschool life truly began.

"Hey, nerd! Make sure I pass this exam!"
"Don't worry, Ibuki-san."
"Hmph! Mio."
"What?"

"Call me Mio."
