The year is 1709, in a depressing Yorkshire Orphanage. Five girls, all soon-to-be best friends, are in for quite a ride. A murderer's on the loose, and supernatural tension is growing. Their dark pasts could be the reason for all the trouble happening at the Yorkshire Orphanage. ~•~ Murderers become entangled victims as all innocence has been lost, never to be found again. Victims become murderers, and murderers become victims. ~•~ Maybe, just maybe all hope is not lost. In the form of a small girl, the orphanage may be saved.

17-year-old Penelope Smythe, or Pen as her friends call her, lost her family almost 2 years ago. Orphaned she went to live with her aunt, who too had lost her family. Besides being an orphan, Pen believes she lives a normal life... Then the satanic murders start, and Penelope discovers, that she is tighter connected to these murders, than she first thought. Suddenly intangled in a murder mystery, Pen is surprised to have the mysterious Noah Parkinson taking an interest in her. An interest, that may be connected to the murders. Through all of this, Pen is trying to hold on to her childhood friends. However, when things get out of hand, Pen is thrown away from her friends and towards Noah, which will cost her more than just a lifelong friendship. On her search for answers, Pen is taken from long dead family members to the old city orphanage, where everything is not what it seems. Not only must she avoid her aunt's strict glare, she must also figure out why she seems to know about these murders before they happen.
