Time Can't Heal This
I've always hated the saying "Time heals all wounds." Maybe in most cases that may be true. In my experience with life and pain however, time has only ever bled out the wound. The scars that the wounds left behind though, are often so deep that just looking at them becomes painful to the mind. Time only heals what you let go of. Sometimes letting go and moving on just doesn't feel possible; no matter how much time you let pass you by. These poems signify what time hasn't healed for me.Concluida

I'm about to tell you a story about a girl. A normal girl. A girl that had no cares in the world, until her trust for it was stripped away. When you read her story, you'll find yourself trusting her, loving her, rooting for her. But you see, not everyone gets to trust the world. Not everyone has a happy ending. --- Halfway through the kiss however, his attitude changed; instead of being a loving embrace, it became a fierce trap. His grip on her waist tightened, trapped her where she was instead of simply holding her where he wanted her. The hand in her hair grabbed a section of it, enforcing his demand for her not to go anywhere. Before she knew what was happening, he left go of her hair, and pushed her to the ground. She gasped, suddenly able to breathe. He stood up and walked over to her. He placed a soft hand on her cheek, just like he used to when he was telling her how special she was to him. None of the emotion was there this time however, all she could feel radiating from his was rage. "You shouldn't have run off, babe," he said bitterly. "I was about to show you how much I loved you. Instead, I now have to show you what happens when you anger me." --- The men regarded her, before she was shoved to the ground and one produced a whip. Maze of memories
People always say every life should be cherished. That every single one of them is equally fragile and precious. Like a beautiful glass sculpture or the blossoming flowers in spring. But the thing is, everyone's definition of beautiful is different. Some people prefer roses over orchids. Some of them like sculptures of people whereas others like sculptures of animals. And so there are times when even the most beautiful sculpture gets thrown away like trash or forgotten somewhere because they found one that's prettier. The beautiful flowers that bloomed in spring will wither away and eventually become nothing but dust. There are times when a sculpture in itself could be really beautiful but a tiny flaw will make people deem it as a "mistake". The flowers that are left to wither away just because they miss a leave, or because they aren't the right size or the right colour. So you see that saying about every life being equally precious?, yeah that only counts for the "perfect" ones. Still some of these faulty sculptures and broken flowers managed to make it into the world. They would be facing the harsh reality of this world and would have to fight to survive. Some of them would unfortunately lose this fight in the end, leaving to a faraway place in hopes to find peace and quiet. Still just being able to make it this far in this harsh world is something to be proud of, as friends and family will forever remember these brave individuals who fought hard to survive until the very end.Concluida
