The treaty between Cracuria and Vrodora is a horror that haunts the humans of the Realm. Each day they wake with the fear of being taken by the Fae, forced to slave for the rich, or spill blood as shields for their legions.

Daenira has taken every effort to avoid this becoming her reality. Until she commits a treasonous crime, for which the penalty should be death. Except, her punishment is one far worse.

For what she has done, the Fae despise her more than they have any human before. She expects to pay for her crimes in servitude, but his plans are something else. He wants more than a slave. He wants a huntress, and knows to be that, Daenira will face worse than she could have ever imagined.

To the Fae, a human life is worth risking. Daenira knows what brutal end she might meet if she agrees to his terms. Yet, for a bargain of her own, she is ready to sacrifice herself to his request.
