Akala!" A voice screamed in the distance as she fell to the ground. A pair of wings wrapped around her protecting her before the body attached to them went limp and was drug away. Groggily she looked out to a bloody battlefield. In those moments she wished for the peace that she once had.
Mates are uncommon in the supernatural community, So when Akala finds her first mate she makes him go through the steps of him getting to know her. Eventually, she gives in and agrees to be with him. It doesn't last long, however, when she loses him suddenly as he's dragged back to Hell. becoming cold and unfeeling to those who are not her immediate family she moves through life keeping to herself. Until she meets her second mate, a zombie who takes no nonsense from anyone. When Akala sees her she is cold to her, out of fear and worry. Giving in once again she accepts her. However, her first mate throws a wrench in things when he comes back to find himself mated to both of them as well. As they move through their relationship with each other they uncover a plot from a demon who had been rejected by him to take over Hell while slowly poisoning him and other supernatural creatures causing chaos between the humans and them.
