Ever since Alina's powers manifested in other people, the balance of nature has been thrown off. Forest beasts became more aggressive, earthquakes and natural disasters happen more frequently, and the dangers of the ocean more prevalent than ever. Nikolai must sail south west to Kerch and meet with the merchant council on a new treaty, but the Shu Han have blockaded the main entrance so he must sail around. Fearing for his safety, Zoya goes with. The two of them stuck on a boat, the fear of death looming over both. But hey, what else is new?

It's very close to my heart. It was my first fanfiction EVER, and I used it as a platform to write about a great deal of insecurities in my "real" life. So, most of the stuff you read about Bao is actually about me (unsurprisingly). 2. I wrote part of it about five years ago and finished it more recently, so there is a (relatively) dramatic shift in style about halfway in. I think the first parts are ehhh but it gets really fine tuned by the end. I didn't go back and edit the earlier parts, but if you stick around the whole time, it only gets better as you go! ||Once more, thank you, to everyone who liked this, and told me so! To get a better understanding of the storyline this is based somewhere in the KoS duology pribably more RoW it has some details from the original story but basically the blith that like ruined all of the shu fields never happened BUT the darkling was still stabbed with the thorn wood. And basically the blith will come after he has been stabbed in a different form. Idk if i did a good job explaining but it should he more clear when reading. The world and all the characters apart from Gabriella belong to the amazing Leigh Bardugo!!!! English isnt my first language so sorry for the possibly incorrect grammar or stilistic choices😭
