In a post-apocalyptic world, mythology took a new form. Those creatures of myth we thought to be imagined Gods, were in fact real living beings with abilities and lifespans far beyond our comprehension. The Æncients, aliens from a distant galaxy, have returned to Earth to help usher what's left of humanity into a new age of Utopia, but under their rule. Demetria was a survivor of "the End." And she'd made it through the re-imagining of human existence, alongside her precious daughter Pers'efonie, the one thing that kept her going amidst the turmoil of a broken society.

But Pers'efonie has gone missing. It's been more days than Demetria can count.  She is just ready to give up when a mysterious message arrives, luring her into a war for the Earth between Æncients and Evolutionaries, with her daughter's life caught in the center of it all.All Rights Reserved

A retelling of the famous story of Hades and Persephone. Hades, the God of the Dead, Lord of the Underworld has everything he could ever want except for one thing. Love. Persephone, the daughter of Demeter, a controlling parent hell bent on keeping her daughter "safe" for all eternity, is constantly under the supervision and iron grip of her mother, and over time, it has created a spark of rebellion that yearns for freedom. Through a series of mistakes, clever planning and permission from Zeus, Hades and Persephone fall in love down in the Underworld. But this doesn't sit well with Demeter who is completely unwilling to except that her adult daughter isn't a baby anymore. And so as Zeus tries to reason with the love struck Hades and the psychotic and increasingly violent Demeter, things get more and more complicated as no one is seemingly ever satisfied with anything.

This is my most ambitious project to date, requiring I keep a cheat sheet to keep it all straight, which is the first this has ever happened for me. It is ancient Greek adjacent, all of the fun without the need for accuracy, so it will include many different monsters, gods, goddesses and deities that do not align to either gender. They will play an active role in the story while still being reserved enough to allow the characters to make their own choices, good or ill.)
