QUOTES: He tried to kill you...but I'm the monster? You're not going to win...if you keep standing there. For time twists all stories with age. 🗡️💖FINISHED BOOK 1 💖🗡️ SUMMARY TEASER One would think a princess has it easy, or extremely hard. Vaylene, on the rarer hand, has nothing at all. In her world, staying inside of the walls is key to protection. Regular citizens rarely, hardly leave and travel into the dark woods. Vaylene realizes with a fright that she never knew she was so afraid of the night until she looked at those same forests with the moon held high. Because...what lies beyond the meadow was nothing to be excited about. So she's told. And yet, when she's offered a piece to savor with an nasty, monstrous aftertaste, why does she feel the blood rushing through her veins? Why does she feel the need to run and never look back but stays still all the same? In the movies and in the stories, it all ends up well. She gets the happy ending. But what if she realizes too late life wasn't a book? What if things get more complicated than that, and even the villain isn't clear? What happens when she ventures outside of the walls that have been created to protect her, sister in tow, in search of a reason? Pulled into a world of monsters schemes, adventures, Chain-Toppers and war working under the only thing remotely close to a demon, she has no hope other than to save her sister. How much can she get away with? And how much will she lose? When the evil is unclear and nothing is simple like it should be in a fairy tale, is the past really so simple and plain as it's been told? If not, how will everyone move forward from the haunting past of MoonCaster looming over every shoulder? Could anyone really forget the damage done by merciless teeth? The action in this story progresses as the plot does! So please me patient 🥺🥺 Thank you for discovering and taking the time to explore my worl

As long as people believed that there was a division between the Gifted and the non-Gifted, that one was superior to the other, I wasn't done. As long as there were kings on thrones to reinforce the idea that people like Porter and Briar and everyone else I cared about were unworthy of this world, I wasn't done. "And then," I continued, a resolution forming in my mind. "I'm going to destroy those six thrones." ********************************************** Wren Heatherfield has been through hell and back, surviving the deadly trials of the Garner and claiming the title of Garner Champion. However, her fight is far from over, with the real challenges only just beginning. Adjusting to her new life in the Ember Court with her insufferable enemy-turned-friend Kesserian Cinis, Wren is forced to face the truth of how close the six courts of Naturian are to a civil war, with Nox and Wren leading the opposing sides. But the fight for allies she can trust might turn out to be just as hard as her internal fight: coming to terms with her true identity. With the loyalties and beliefs of her past and present self at war with each other, Wren must decide who she is and what she stands for if she has any hope of surviving this upcoming war. Plagued by nightmares and trauma from her time in the Garner, Wren must find a way to keep moving forward. With the weight of a crumbling nation on her shoulders, Wren has one chance to fix the injustices that plague Naturian and achieve her dreams of toppling tyranny, but the alluring power of the throne might prove too intoxicating for even her to resist. A fight for her loved ones. A fight for the oppressed. A fight to save the remaining good in Naturian. The chains have been released. Now the real fight begins.

Lady Lyra Wynthorne has spent her life in the shadow of her father's power, protected by his influence and sheltered by her status. As the only daughter of a High Lord, she's always had everything she could ever want-except her freedom. When she learns that her father has arranged a marriage for her, Lyra decides to take her fate into her own hands. Running away from the life she's always known, she ventures out into a world far harsher than she imagined, determined to prove she's more than the spoiled, reckless girl everyone thinks she is. Sir Lucian Dorne, her father's most trusted knight, has watched over Lyra since they were children. He knows her better than anyone-or so he thinks. As her childhood friend and protector, he's seen her wild, impulsive nature, and he believes she has much to learn about the realities of life. Never did Lucian expect Lyra to disappear, nor could he have predicted the sorrow and emptiness that would fill the void she left behind. Months later, when Lucian finally tracks Lyra down, he's shocked to find that the damsel he once knew is no longer in distress. Lyra has changed. Hardened. She has found a new strength and independence in the face of hardship, and she no longer needs saving. As Lucian sees her with new eyes, he begins to wonder: how can he protect someone who doesn't need protecting? And when he discovers the true reason she fled, Lucian is forced to confront his deepest fear. What does a knight do when the damsel he's sworn to protect is ready to fight her own battles? And more importantly, what happens when that damsel is the woman he's been in love with all along? In this story of love, loyalty, and self-discovery, Lyra and Lucian must face the truth of who they are-and who they are to each other.

Lyra knew that one day she would be set into an arranged marriage like a chess piece. She had been preparing for it her whole life, and she was almost alright with her fate. But she never thought that her father would choose the man that he did. That decision changed everything. The King of Whales is ruthless, more than twice her age and surrounded by tainted gold and loads of unsavory rumors. There have been many wives of his before Lyra, with no explanations to the untimely deaths of the previous five. With each dead Queen came more money from their kingdoms, straight into the King's portly lap. Disguised as a young man, Lyra runs from her duty as the only Princess of Nordic. She cuts her hair, takes her steed and disappears into the night with her father's men hot on her heels. Enter Kaladin's team. Occupation: Mercenaries. Lyra uses skills taught to her by a close, childhood friend and plays herself into the trust of the dangerous strangers until they accept her, or rather, "Navani", into their group. What will happen to her once they see through her web of lies and tricks? Will Lyra give herself up as Princess when she is reunited with her long-lost friend, or will she carry on as a boy with the mercenaries? Follow Lyra to see what she will do when she comes to realize that things have gotten far too big for her to handle on her own. There are assassin's out for her head, king's thirsting for her blood, and an underground network of people who live for her ruin. But there is also an unlikely Prince to defend her, who has some tricks of his own to rely on. The Princess soon sees that she is not nearly as alone as she may have once thought. What will Lyra do when she comes to terms with her destiny? Will she face it this time with her new friends, or will she chose to run away again? Cover made by @-rebellixus-
