The Way of the Ranger

A small warning rumble. An acknowledgment. A casual visit to the creek. A known presence. An iron strong grip on the collar of the boy's neck. Then a SPLASH as the man known as the larger-than-life figure Halt throws the boy into the creek.

Meet Gilan, the son of Meric Fief's battle master. As natural, he has been trained with a sword since he could walk. But he soon tires of the daily routines of battleschool. He wants something more. He wants the life of the mysterious elite group known as the Rangers.
