Delilah Eve grey was the a descendent of the sacred pure blood family Black. Her roots could be traced back so far as to the 1700s. However, during the uprising her parents fought against Voldemort. Causing them to be cut off of the tree and abandoned. Hence they changed their names to Grey.
A childhood kiss with Draco Malfoy, a destroyed friendship and a hatred brewed by Lucius Malfoy ripped them apart.
