On a trip across the country, Jessica Holland stubbles upon an old and abandoned orphanage that was closed down long ago after a tragic storm took the lives of many of the children and staff that once resided in the building's walls. Ever since then, the orphanage has become something of an urban legend.

Locals of the surrounding towns claim the place to be extremely haunted, and full of evil spirits that will attack anyone who enters its walls. Many people have gone missing and are never to be seen again after going to the orphanage, and the site is rumored to have once been the gathering place of a satanic cult.

The orphanage has a reputation so bad that even the local Sheriff's offices refuse to send deputies to its location, despite the orphanage just being a mile off the main road. Because of this, the orphanage has been the site of several murders and rapes over the years, with the bodies of the victims never being found.

Now, Jessica finds herself lost in an unfamiliar area with her GPS locking up and sending her down a bad road. A raging storm moves in, forcing her to seek shelter. But the only building around is the orphanage.

Book 3 of HomeLess Growing up in a family was what most kids who didn't have one, would dream about. As he got older, however, A.J. found himself dreaming about the same thing... yet he had a family. He'd been loved by that family as a child, but as he grew, their attention slowly shifted to his younger brother. He came to understand that his adoptive parents would focus a little more on their actual genetic child, but he wasn't prepared to deal with how quickly he lost everything he had cherished. The packed lunches stopped coming when he turned ten. Eleven, the birthday parties ceased. At fourteen, his younger brother was 'too old' to have to share his room, so A.J. was moved to the small laundry room. At sixteen, there were no more 'I love you' or 'have a good day'. At seventeen, the lunch money stopped and the hateful glares started. Then the angry words. Everything he did was wrong. The dishes weren't clean. The laundry wasn't folded right. By the time he finally graduated, a few days after his nineteenth birthday, there was no more attention of any sort. They ignored him, except to tell him that his chores weren't done well enough and that he didn't deserve to eat until they were. A.J., desperate for some sort of attention, and honestly starving, tried one last thing to get them to at least show so semblance of caring, even if it was negative. He told them that he was gay. At nineteen, only a few days after his graduation, A.J. was kicked out of his home with an empty stomach, and an empty heart.

My name is Rolland and I grew up in an orphanage in the middle of town. I've lived here as long as I can remember. I always tried to ask why me or any of the other kids were here but the woman who ran the orphanage just answered by holding up a sign saying 'I'm busy. Go play, Rolland.' After my eighth birthday I stopped asking. Besides, I think I already knew why my parents hadn't wanted me... I was completely deaf. (This will NOT be a super perverted book, even being bxbxb. So if you are looking for that, go elsewhere, k! I'm here for the story and a bit of horror and romance mixed in!)
