Maxwell, a green kitsune is cursed with a terrible fate, a cracked Spark. For a long time, his magic has surged beyond his control, bringing harm to both himself, and people around him. And nothing he has done could stop his volatile magic outbursts. 
Thankfully, sometimes fate give people chances.
Maxwell meets with Azar, a benevolent Phoenix-witch who cannot stand to see him be in such agony. Determined to fix his broken Spark, Azar takes care of Maxwell as the two journey through the Blood Tundra to find a cure to his burden.
Such a journey will not be easy. With Maxwell's magic becoming increasingly dangerous, beyond his control, and with little knowledge she has on how to fix a terrible curse, Azar is in for a wild journey.
Along the way, Maxwell feels something he hasn't before for Azar... but what does this feathery magician think of the furry bookworm?

This is based after a roleplay done on the Feral Discord. Special thanks to CheetahFrecklez and sarchastic on Discord for letting me use their OCs, Azar  And Alonna for this story!
This is also not related to Days of Darkness, Rise of the Wielders or the upcoming third book. This is merely a standalone story.
