Beyond The Beat

Singer, dancer, actor. These are all of things that describe me. I got the oncein a life time opportunity to meet L.A. Reid, and actually have him like me! I'm only 17, but lets pray for the best.

This is the story of a girl named Devon and how she fights and fines her way through Hollywood, fame, relationships, and still trying to be a normal 17 years old girl. She was 5 when all of her family died in a horrible car accident. Devon ends up in L.A. to meet L.A. Reid. One of the many things that Devon learns is how to "Live Like No One's Watching."

When Devon gets signed to Island Def Jam Records her whole life changes. Devon ends up meeting Jay, a rapper, who has know idea who Devon is and has to do a duet with her. Once Jay works more with Devon he learns that she is not in fact a "spoiled brat" but a caring person who genuinely wants and tries to make it in Hollywood.

Jay learns about Devon's parents (mostly her dad,) her life story, and how she lives on a life line. Jay tries to help Devon, and she excepts it, but she still wants to fight for herself.
What will happen when Devon gets SLAP into reality with Jay right by her side.
