The MDA is an agency that monitors the people who have special powers and deals with them accordingly. Recent clues are pointing to illegal activities containing  experimentation and sabotage. The MDA's job is to find out who is responsible for causing all the mysterious new cases of "magics". Or else the fate of this dystopian society is doomed.

This is a joint work between myself and @theSingingDragon . She has the odd chapters (1, 3, etc.) and I have the even (2, 4, etc.). All characters are original.

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. This small group of young people have been through hell for most of their life, getting chemicals injected into them, chained down, hit with different tough materials, and more horrible tests. That was until some Pro Heroes showed up and rescued the 4 people, along with many others that might've been among the facility. Although the experimented teens were rescued, they seem to have a big distrust toward the heroes. To get their trust will be a tough task, and possibly a dangerous one. The Specials does not belong to me, but to Darkmoon the Direwolf. MHA belongs to its rightful owner. The characters in this story do not belong to me except for Raven. Small warning: this story will include ships, some of which are lgbtq, and some canon ships ⚠️TRIGGER WARNING⚠️: mentions of chemicals/drugs, abuse, downgrading, profanity, trauma, very upsetting backstories, and M*neta's shenanigans if any of the themes above make you uncomfortable then do NOT read. However, when Ramet realises Hara's life is in danger she begins to wonder if going with the flow is worth it. Plans aren't Ramet's forte and when things backfire on her final job for Whyan, she has to act fast, trust a government official to do the right thing, and try and stay alive in the process. One last fight. One last drink. And then happily ever after is within Ramet's grasp. It's just ... forever is a long time. This is a spin off from Sorcha The Alien and can be read as a standalone story and its sequel is Ditch Me.
