Written under the pen name Lula Brielle and conceived from a 500 word short story written specifically for a WattPad writing competition to promote the movie, "The Kissing Booth"...

Chance isn't your typical antisocial Senior in High School. A depressed teenager/genius, he just wants to get through life without being bothered or noticed. It wasn't until one Fall afternoon, when he was sent to the Guidance Counselor's office, that he found a new reason to live...and her name was Lux. Lux was new to school and shared a few classes with Chance, but there's something that he doesn't know about her; she has kidney failure and has to undergo dialysis treatment. Upon meeting, Chance knew he was meant to be in Lux's life and vice versa, but not everyone was too keen on them dating.
