Outer Banks: "drowning love" follows the story of Clara Peterkin, who happens to be the daughter of one of the wealthiest men in Outer Banks and Sheriff Peterkin, a former Pogue. 

She finds herself torn between two worlds as she navigates the social divide of the island. Along the way, Clara reconnects with her childhood best friend, John B, and finds herself drawn to the charismatic but troubled JJ, who seems to have a love-hate relationship with her. 

As Clara must choose between her loyalty to her Pogue friends and her mother's wishes, she also grapples with her feelings for JJ and her troubled childhood.
