So, let me fill you in on a few things...
The world is divided into two magical classes - the sun-class and the moon-class. For years the classes were locked in battle - the vicious Shadow Wars - until a peace treaty was drawn up a century ago. Now, the sun-class - the Faes, Celestials, and Elkie - live during the daylight hours. The moon-class - the Daimons, Weres, and Vanpari - live by night.
I'm Elkie. With my super sensitive hearing and badass bow, I live wild and free in the mountains of upstate New York. At least I did, until Mom dropped a bombshell on me. She's engaged to be married. To none-other than William Geiser, the soon to be Sun Mayor of New York City.
Without warning, I'm whisked away from the mountains to the city and enrolled at Zenith Academy, a supernatural school for the sun-class elite. I couldn't be more out of place with all the super wealthy Faes and Celestials, and I can't help the feeling something nefarious is going on...
I'm not buying Geiser's friendly routine. And what's the deal with the broodingly handsome, infuriatingly mysterious Nik Storm, a transfer from the moon class?
I'm determined to get to the bottom of it. But I get a whole lot more than I bargained for. Magic. Murder. A crush on a Vanpari. And a plot to reignite the Shadow Wars...

Well, just when I thought my life couldn't get any crazier, guess what? It got crazier. Last time we met, I was trying to save myself and this guy from this malicious spirit who wouldn't leave him alone and was trying to kill him. I thought that was bad and stress inducing. Unfortunately, I had no idea what else I was in for. Compared to what I'm about to face next, that was a walk in the park. Now, my powers are growing stronger and stronger, and I'm becoming a full fledged sorceress. I am seeing more spirits, the "dark entity" I'm constantly being warned about coming, and I'm trying to brace myself for whatever this entity is. I'm also learning more about the "supernatural world," where apparently, it's where all the ghouls exist and thrive in. And guess what else? I'm going to have to go to school with them. Fantastic. There's a part of me excited, though the larger part is scared to death. We will rule the dawn of a new age, we will complete our bond, and you will forget about her. Make your choice." I can hear my heart beat in my ears, and I swallow agaisnt the rush. These are my options. Kill him, or agree to be his. I make my own choice. I can not take my freedom away. I can not be the mate he wants, but I can not kill him. With a deep breath, I turn the knife on myself. The Other Side of the Lie (EDITING, ON HOLD)
What if humans lived alongside witches, vampires, fey, and werewolves? Yeah, they don't though. They're divided into Factiones (no, that isn't a typo, go away Grammarly) by a starburst mountain range that is actually new, relative to the rest of the geology. Then someone dies. Of course. Not original is it? I suppose there's a good reason it always starts with someone dying. Well, being murdered in this particular case. I know, also not very original. But please, bear with me. Basically, the people in power are insane and dangerous. (There are really too many clichés here, aren't there?) And our not-so-normal band of motley heroes have to stop these crazy people. I understand that this is more or less the same plot line as 17% (minimum) of all books on the planet, but seriously, if you want to have a 12-year-old (almost) burn down/melt half a castle, this is your book. Be patient though, because it might take you a bit to get there. Enjoy! 1st completed book!!!!!! (I haven't edited it yet though, so if it seems a little rough it's normal. The banging starts again but this time a lot louder. I can hear the girls screaming up stairs. I pick up my phone and dial 911. "Hello this is 911 what's your emergency?" "There are a bunch of wolves outside my house. I think they have rabies or something I'm not sure." The banging gets louder and I can feel my face getting wet from the tears. "Mamm did you say wolves are there?" "Yes Yes there are wolves about 10 of them out here in my front yard. I need help!" I hang up the phone and sit on the end of the stair case. I close my eyes and start praying. Something I haven't done in a while. "I have faith, there is a god. I have faith, there is a god, I have faith, there is a god." I repeat over and over. The glass breaks and I start screaming. I stand up and try to scramble up the stairs. The door comes falling down and there are about 10 wolves standing in front of my door. A woman emerges and walks toward me. She snaps her fingers and the pretty brown wolf is in front of me. Right there by my face. "Ridanna you know what to do." Her teeth is wrapped around my neck and she sinks them in. I try to scream but it's hard to. At first it hurts but now the pain no longer exists. I feel like there is no such thing as pain and I feel light as if I can float off the Earth. Fine as hell white boy with a pro-black activist fall for each other. Cherise Miss Activist doesn't want to date Zaire the fine as hell white boy not for his race but for his secrets. What if he had a past he didn't tell you about and the only way you found out is because the past came to kill you? And I'm not talking werewolves and vampires. Cherise would only wish for problems for they would be so simple compared to hers and Zaire's. If any woman found out Zaire's secrets they'd take off running to the nearest police station or they end up in a body bag in the end. Depends....which will come first?Complete
