Dean's father died to protect the King on a pilgrimage to receive the Goddess's blessing. Now Dean hears his father's voice in his dreams, calling him to his grave. The only way up is to pledge himself to the King, for the rest of his life. Castiel rules, his kingdom rent in half by a civil war his uncle started, and resents the need for a Lionheart. But the pilgrimage cannot be done without one. With whisperings of raids and gathering forces at the border of his split kingdom, and his own power dwindling, Castiel is pulled in all directions. Receiving the Goddess's blessing is more important now than it ever was.

In a fractured America where Heaven and Hell wage silent wars through human governments, the only hope for peace lies in an unthinkable alliance: the binding of a hunter and an angel by law. Dean Winchester, hardened soldier of the supernatural front lines, finds himself forced into a government-sanctioned marriage with Castiel, a celestial diplomat whose stoic silence hides a war-torn soul. What begins as a cold political arrangement, papers signed, rings exchanged, a façade to keep rival factions at bay, slowly unravels into something neither man anticipated. Secrets burn through the cracks of duty: Dean's stubborn heart that refuses to be tamed, and Castiel's quiet devotion that refuses to fade. Together, they must navigate bureaucrats, betrayals, and the sharp edge of their own vulnerabilities. But when enemies exploit the cracks in their alliance, Dean and Castiel must decide remain pawns in a war they never chose or turn their arranged vows into a bond strong enough to save them both.
