Report 86-1 "No government saw this.... No one was expecting it, when an unnamed and unclassified meteor entered Earth's atmosphere and quickly broke the sound barrier in the first few seconds it entered the planet.... It was so fast, that a small town below the meteor didn't have time to evacuate or react, when it was decimated when the unknown meteor fell in the center of it, not counting the debris that flew with the impact, and that severely hit the towns. and neighboring villages." *Static* "Now the Foundation is on its way to the meteor crash site in southern New Zealand, to see the crater, but mostly to try to contain it if anything else came along with the meteor. End of report, from meteor 86-66."

My crew and I take the jobs we need to survive in a world overrun by aliens. We fly a stolen ship that once trafficked women-us included. Now, we make our own rules and do whatever it takes to stay free. My latest job? Rehabilitate a Zohra-a towering alien locked away in prison, meant to be tamed into usefulness for his captors. Then I meet him-my job, a mute Zohra. And that's when everything goes sideways. Rescuing him wasn't in the plan, yet now we're on the run, supposedly relying on each other... except I'm the one doing all the work. He's frustrating. Completely useless. A liability, really. And yet, for some ridiculous reason, I just can't leave him behind.
