Princess Kyanna is in love with a knight-to-be, Jeremy. But her father, the King, marries her off to the war hero, Einar Berkinly, as a reward for saving the kingdom. Running away seems to be her only option to save her love. In an attempt to dissuade her and win her affections, Einar tells her stories he gathered from the war. With each story, Kyanna's view of her new husband and the world that seeks to subjugate her changes. When a genie from one of the stories comes to haunt her dreams, she learns that, not only has the war hero come to fulfill her dreams rather than destroy them, but his stories may not just be stories.
