Y/n is an honest person at heart despite having grown up in her father's world of crime where secrets and lies were practically currency, even for a child. Now, as a part of the Avenger's team, Y/n is in a position where she has to lie again, something she has tried her best to avoid doing since. Will she be able to go against her morals and partake in a ruse that could lock up criminals for good, maybe even save lives?
James Buchanan Barnes has been lying for the last 90 years but inside he's crumbling with the weight of what he's done. Now, he's an Avenger whose mission is always to save the people of the world instead of killing them. Will he be able to be the person both the Avengers and Y/n need him to be?
