He plunged the dagger into my side and I screamed in agony. He pulled it out and threw me on the ground increasing the pain even more. But it was nothing compared to the pain I felt of betrayal.
"There you wanted her dead. I did it for you. Now you owe me." H/n spat.
I saw shock and disgust on V/n face. Why?
H/n did what he never managed to do. He did the job for him and V/n gets to walk away without blood on his hands. I struggled to get back on my feet. H/n started taking wide strides towards me to finish the job.
I heard a gun cock behind me and he abruptly stopped
"That's far enough. Walk away while you still can. Just because I owe you doesn't mean I can't owe you after I put a bullet trough your leg." V/n said with bitterness seeping from his voice.
H/n huffed and walked out. I couldn't stand upright anymore. I collapsed but felt someone catch me. I saw his face. His features laced with something I never thought I'd see him look at me with. Concern and...fear.

The life of the princess from Aphrodite Kingdom. A year has passed. They have been running around and have ended up 3,863 miles from home now. The princess was running fast through the pouring rain trying to get away from him. Her muscles ached but she continued. She looked back thinking she had lost him until she bumped into something. It was him. They stood there, just staring at each other. The princess could tell the prince was injured because he stumbled toward her. He dropped his sword, "wha- what are you doing *prince name*?" he gave a slight smirk but also winced in pain. "You win princess, you were always going to". She stood there trying to process the words that he just spoke and what had just happened. "You heard me princess, now's your chance to finally end it all." The princess got her dagger and aimed it at his heart, he stood there, accepting his fate. The Prince's Assassin
The blade of my hidden knife stops just a few centimetres from the prince's warm skin of his neck. He lays there, eyes closed and rhythmic breathing. His defined jaw relaxed and his teeth barely showing behind his pink lips. I hear voices coming from the hallway. I glance up at the door then back to the sleeping Prince. The door handle rattles, the guards yell from behind the wall. I bite my lip, balancing the blade just on the skin of the prince's neck. The door bursts open just as I slip out of the bedroom window into the cool midnight, no evidence of my attempt to assassinate the prince. ~~~~~~~~~~ Trained Assassin, skilled in over 4 martial arts, specialised in weaponry and one on one combat... Jasper stiffens in his seat as I press the metal of the blade against his back. "Don't say a word. Come with me, right now." Of course, he doesn't listen. I had hoped a dagger to the kidney would be incentive enough, but even the threat of death doesn't graze a Devereaux ego. He turns toward me to argue, facing away from the goon that's been eyeing him across the bar. I doubt he even noticed. The man whispers something to his sketchy friend, pointing at Jasper. No time for discussion. I grab his arm and press the tip of the knife harder, just barely breaking the skin. He winces, realizing I mean business, and gets up. The idiot prince seems to finally get the memo, running alongside me until we're a safe distance away. "What the hell was that about?" his ragged breaths take the sting out of his words. I've never seen him like this before. Cheeks red, chest heaving, hunched over himself on the stump of a tree. For once, he looks like an authentic person. Of course, this is merely an illusion. Jasper Devereaux is an arrogant, entitled dirtbag, nothing more. I can't believe I just jeopardized my favorite trade spot for him. He demands to know why I pulled a knife on him instead of just telling him he was in danger. I explain to him that the reason for the dagger was glaringly obvious if you consider the way he acted when I did use it. If he was willing to argue with a blade against his skin, there is no way he'd have left that place in good hands if I hadn't forced him to. I can't help but laugh at the audacity of him to be angry with me for how I chose to save his life. "You really haven't changed." His head snaps up at this, and I see his eyes searching my face. Of course he doesn't recognize me. For me, it was super traumatic. For him, it was just another day. "What are you going on about?" "This isn't the kingdom, Jasper, these peasants aren't at your mercy." I see the blood drain from his face, and recognition clicks in his eyes.
The Prince's Escape
Once we are alone, he turns to me, "We need to work on your acting skills. How can a commoner be such a bloody awful liar? Don't you learn that when you are infants?" "Oh, I'm sorry I don't lie for sport like you lot! Last I checked, it's the ones with the sticks up their arses who are so brilliant with deceit and after seeing your performance I know it to be fact! I've never heard such shit! As though I hold any regret, for telling that fancy prat anything, ha" I call back. Now that we are alone, I no longer require restraints as I let my temper run wild. He does something that takes me by utter surprise. He literally grabs my lips and pushes them together. "Don't you ever shut this mouth of yours!" I move my hands to his chest, trying to pay no mind to the heat radiating from him and give him a great push, shoving him a few steps back in surprise. "Don't touch me! Agh!" I let out before taking a breath, and with a little less force I add, "the King bought it didn't he." "Barely," he grunted. My head snapped back at him, I was fuming. How could a man make me so incredibly angry with just a few words?
