The adorkable and sarcastic Stiles...is dying. And the pack has no idea how to stop it. Every day he gets worse, every night he screams out in terror, he doesn't sleep because of the pain, he's becoming weaker over time. The pack doesn't know how much longer they will have with the Sheriff's son.

But if anything has been proven...it's that Scott McCall can do the impossible. And he will do whatever it takes to keep his brother from dying. Especially when he suspects the cause of his friend's situation...is the monster that ruined their lives in the first place. The Nogitsune. But he doesn't get how he is doing it. The last time they checked...the fox was still trapped in the container, unable to get out. So if this was in fact the Nogitsune doing this to Stiles...how was he doing it? And where was he doing it from? And when will he show up again?

To keep watch on their worsening friend...Chris Argent made a call to an old friend of his and they agreed to protect and care for the boy until they could get the situation sorted out. And with two of the group being complete geniuses...maybe they might know what's wrong with him. And cure him if possible.

But Scott and the others will not stop until they save their friend. They need to beat the clock but what will happen if time continues? That's a question that they don't want answered.
