Laylah Miller may appear to be a typical teenager, but this is not the case. Before Douxie arrived, Merlin took Laylah in as his appearance many years ago. Laylah, like Douxie, is an orphan with no parents or siblings. The Trollhunters join Merlin on a mission to defeat the Arcane Order. However, Douxie, Laylah, Claire, Steve, and Jim are sucked into a time machine and find themselves in Camerlot around 900 years ago.

They five must return to the twenty-first century without destroying history, or else they will cease to exist.
