Its year 2023, three years after the COVID pandemic that took over and changed the world as we know it. Masks weren't required anymore but some still found it safer to wear them in certain indoor places but other did not care.
The news reports a new virus has leaked into the world after a group of scientists who worked on a way for people to not need to take multiple shots. A mixture of some dangerous chemicals were leaked into the supposed cure and it created a deadly weapon, turning people into Cannibals.
If you have a weak stomach, do not read. If murder disturbs you, do not read.

A few more seconds she thinks to herself, almost there. At the last step she jumps, flinging herself into the water. Frantically she scrapes at her skin to get their scents off, but knowing she can't be caught de-scenting she starting swimming down stream. Better to be caught running than them thinking you have something to hide.
