Ang kwento ng dalawang tao na pinagtagpo ng panahon at krisis. 

Ang Hopia ay sumisimbolo sa bawat trahedya at pagkabigo ng ating mga karakter sa kwento.
Ang Mani naman ay sumasalamin sa pang araw-araw na kagutuman ng karaniwang pamilyang Pilipino na kayod-tuka na lang makaraos lang sa pakikibaka at sa pakikilakbay. 
Ang Popcorn naman ay sumisimbolo sa panunood o pagsaksi ng mga mambabasa sa dakilang palabas o spectacle ng rebolusyon at pagbabagong panlipunan. 

Ang kwentong ito ay gawang piksyon. Ang anumang pagkakahalintulad sa mga tao, bagay, organisasyon, lugar, o pangyayari ay tiyak na pagkakataon lamang.

Si Raiza ay isang estudyante at aktibista. Si Mariel naman ay isang gimikera at estudyante rin sa parehong unibersidad. Dalawang magkaibang tao na paglalapitin ng panahon, pag-ibig, at pakikibaka. 

Magkakakilala ang dalawa sa isang kilos-protesta. Magiging magkaibigan ang dalawa, ngunit kritikal sa isa't isa at sa kanilang mga paniniwala. Unti-unting maliliwanagan ang dalawa tungkol sa bawat isa, at magiging mas malapit sila sa isa't isa. Magkakahiwalay dahil sa matinding pakikibaka ni Raiza sa kanayunan. Susunod si Mariel upang makibaka at hanapin si Raiza. Magkaka-ibigan ang dalawa sa huli, ngunit mamamatay si Raiza sa gitna ng pakikidigma laban sa mga reaksyunaryong pwersa ng militar.

Raiza Catanduanes -isang babaeng college student, sophomore sa PUP, isa ring aktibista

Mariel Barcena -isang babaeng college student rin sa PUP, freshman
