After decades of what seemed like endless conflict, the two species fighting for dominance formed factions. The ghouls divided into four kingdoms, the most powerful and largest of them all ruled by the infamous One-Eyed King. The humans split into five groups, divided by their contradicting beliefs.

Over time, one of these human factions grew sick and tired of the fighting and formed a deal with the One-Eyed King: no more clashing and eating members of their faction. In exchange, every two years, they would send one person of the Tokuniku descent as a gift, a sacrifice, to the king of the ghouls. The Tokuniku bloodline was found only in this human faction. They produced people with extraordinarily delicious flesh, an exquisite meal fit only for the king of ghouls.

And so, (Y/n) Tokuniku's fate was sealed the moment she took her first breath. Sacrificed to the One-Eyed King at the age of 18, she's thrown right into the middle of the enemy's lair. But as time passes, she grows uncertain of the king's motives.

Is she food, or not? And if she isn't... then what is she to the King?
