Mr. Mendes
"Maggie?" he spoke over the other students. "Yes, Mr. Mendes?" "I'm going to have to ask you to stay after class." - Highest ranking: #1 in Shawn Mendes I wrote this when I was a teenager so please forgive everything that's wrong with it lmao. I would also like to throw in a disclaimer that I don't promote/condone student-teacher relationships, it's simply just a plot line that I thought would be interesting to write. Happy reading!Complete
Pretty Monsters (Murders At Raven Oak Prep)
THE DEAD DO NOT SPEAK. For years I coexisted with the living, but my life has forever known the waking shadows of death. As a clairvoyant, I wield a rare gift to communicate with spirits abandoned to wander in search of liberation from the lives they once belonged to. A gift I must use to find answers after being condemned for my mother's mysterious murder with the assistance of a lost soul, having latched herself to mine. When my estranged father demands me to enroll in the prestigious academy he once attended, Raven Oak Prep, we learn there are secrets hidden within its beautiful walls and paved with bad intentions. Secrets someone wants me to find. Seeking the truth proves difficult when the Student Council marks me as the enemy. Four beautifully, shattered boys hiding behind their masks to play out my brother's revenge in retribution for my mother's untimely demise. When their wicked games, and my morbid investigation becomes entwined, a shared connection is discovered that may just wake the ghosts of both our pasts. DEATH FOLLOWS US. After the falsified suicide of our girlfriend, we made a vow in the name of our brotherhood to uncover the truth. In the years since, we established no leads. Time turned us into monsters. We lost hope and said Fuck You to redemption. Until Beau's sister entered the doors of our academy with secrets that rivaled our own, unbeknownst she brought a depraved serial killer to our doorsteps set on murdering our students in a twisted game. His name? He calls himself Monster. Riddle after riddle the hunt against time to unmask Monster and understand his motives, grows, as he leaves a pile of bodies whispering old tales and written in ciphers. Who will be the next one? It seems history does repeat itself. We're all pretty monsters with secrets to kill for. No one and nowhere is safe. But what if the villain of this story was never the villain at all?

He asked and I looked up at his eyes. I didn't have to ponder over the matter long. "I don't know." I said softly.
