Kevin chortled, "I thought you said acting wasn't your thing,"
"Well, I signed up to audition for this before saying that, besides, this one seemed fun."
"Really? What's this scene about?"
Jacob looked off shyly rubbing the back of his neck.
"It's a kiss scene."

After the curtains close, Kevin applauds his friend as they walk to Jacob's changing room. In there, Jacob asks Kevin to help him with the next play he wanted to act in. Kevin agrees to play the part . . . but that's all it'll be, playing pretend, never real, no matter how much either boy wants it.
