In Northern Labrador, a remote community stretches across a vast wilderness of frost and snow. Often a fine line is drawn between life and death, and heroes rise out of necessity. For twenty-eight years, Jaxon Brandt has lived in Labrador River, a small mining community in northern Canada. Captain of the Fire Department and volunteer of the Ground Search & Rescue, he is not afraid to jump into dangerous situations, especially when women are involved. Then one stormy night, Jaxon's past meets up with him and he must choose between the town he's sworn to protect and the girl he hasn't stopped dreaming about. Will Jaxon risk everything for the woman who's set to Break his heart all over again?
