Humans and Dragons have hated each other for centuries. But this loathing only grows worse when a wizard locks the dragon race from all of humanity. Now, generations of humans have never seen a scale of one, and the scariest they've ever been is in stories. The dragons have fought endlessly to destroy the magic that leaves a barrier between the two, only to create a curse throughout the land in the process. Food has become scarce. The land has turned brown. Only human flesh can contain their hunger and keep their species alive. But not all those who dwell in this land mean harm, and some would rather accept each other than lie a finger-or a talon-on their hearts.

Bones cracking and fur sprouts out from my human skin to transform into my large black wolf. With one look at me, it was enough for my angel to faint.
