The dark-haired boy stepped back and put his hands up defensively. His spoke softly and almost hesitantly with a slight British accent. He looked nearly afraid.
"Shhhh. Love. It's ok. Are you ok?"
Summer locked eyes with him again, something in her gut telling her to trust him. She hoped against hope that she wouldn't be wrong again and shook her head, closing her eyes.
"Help me, please."

Summer Richardson had been through hell. Her parents had been murdered. She had been taken. She had survived weeks of captivity, not knowing what was real, not knowing what fate would befall her.
She prayed that running into him would be her miracle. He was a mysterious stranger, a passerby, a vehicle to freedom.
But Summer should know that freedom is fleeting, and there's no such thing as true escape. After a chance meeting that leaves their lives intertwined, everyone must fight for the things they never knew they wanted, and no one will ever be the same.

It was a story that we loved, but also a story we realized could use updating for a modern audience. One quarantine later, 'Spaces' was born. Loosely based on Jakkii's original story, we wrote 'Spaces' for the nostalgic reader. But this time, we promise it's a little different;)
New updates every Friday!!!!
